Cosy up on the sofa with this heart warming and Festive Rum Hot Toddy.
For most the smell of mulled wine wafting through a bar is more than enough to put a smile on your face and feel the holidays are here. But I’m in London, it’s 2020 and tier 4 has just been announced (Christmas is cancelled). Well as a Northerner I’ll be damned if it’s going to stop me feeling festive.
Feel the same way? Then flick over to my Festive Infused Sugar Syrup recipe, then follow the below and get all warm and merry.
Hot Toddies have their roots deeply imbedded in India but for the UK, this cockle warming drink started up in the Scottish pubs where hot water was combined with whisky and sugar in the cold winter nights.
Their are now hundreds of variations of this drink but the base of spirit, sweet, spices and hot water. The below recipe with your already infused syrup makes life easy to fill the glasses of multiple people at pace.
